Modelled as a gallant and companion, he wearing a pink hat with a white cockade, pink jacket, flowered breeches, holding a cockerel, she with orange hat, yellow bodice, pink overskirt and flowered underskirt and holding a hen, the flowering trees behind them picked out in pink, orange, yellow and blue and rising to support candlestick nozzles (nozzles lacking), on scroll-moulded bases enriched in pale-green and gilding
