A pair of Meissen two-handled baskets
Circa 1760, blue crossed swords and dot mark
Each of shaped oval form, painted with vignettes of birds to either side within pink and gilt-moulded scrolled cartouches, the interior painted with scattered butterflies and insects, the basket with diamond-shaped piercing and trailed with sky-blue coloured foliage, the feet formed as a continuation of the loop branch form handles, above gilt scrolling rims (section damaged and re-stuck to one rim, minor chipping to blue leaves)
