A pair of Meissen figures of flower-sellers
Circa 1880, blue crossed swords marks, pressnummer 48 and incised numerals
Modelled as a youth and companion, he wears a long purple jacket and blue breeches with a waistcoat open at the chest, she wears a laced boddice and striped skirt, both carrying a basket of flowers and standing on shaped-circular scroll-moulded bases enriched in gilt (chipping to flowers, the sleeve of his jacket, hand and a toe, losses and chipping to the lace on her boddice and bottom of her skirt, surface rubbing generally)
