A pair of Sevres-style turquoise-ground two-handled oviform vases and covers
Circa 1860, imitation Sèvres marks
With white and gilt caryatid handles above vertical straps moulded with leaves suspending gilt husk ornament, painted with vignettes of young ladies with children in attendance, one with basket of grapes, the other with a bird, a cage and a basket of flowers, in landscape, the reverse with sprays of fruit and flowers, within 'jewelled' oval cartouches issuing tooled gilt scrolls and flowers, enclosing diaper and speckled panels, on square section bases (the covers damaged and restored, one handle cracked, minor losses to jewelling, some light rubbing to gilding)
