Bugatti T55 (Jean Bugatti roadster coachwork): 1/8 scale
Possibly one of the most mythical of all of Bugatti's designs was the T55. Based on the chassis frames used for the T54 racing car Jean Bugatti decided to fit the 2.3 litre double overhead camshaft, supercharged engine from the T51 GP racer and clothe it in a roadster body without doors, a rumble seat/boot in the rear and two spare tyres. This resulted in one of the most striking sports cars of all time of which only 38 examples were to leave the factory. Length 20ins (51cm)
