Details
1954 ASTON MARTIN DB3/6 BODY
This lot consists of just the bodywork once fitted to Aston Martin DB3 chassis no. 6.
DB3/6 was originally the property of private owner/driver Bob Dickson and in 1953 was registered FHH 534. Bob Dickson competed in a number of hillclimbs and races, including the British Empire Trophy, the sports car race at the British Grand Prix and the Tourist Trophy. In 1954 the chassis was fitted with the Gullwing body offered here and a C-type Jaguar engine and raced by R.H. Dennis at Goodwood in 1955. This body remained on the chassis until 1965 when a streamlined body was fitted. In 1989 Christies sold DB3/6 at auction, less engine and body.

Special notice
No VAT will be charged on the hammer price, but VAT at 17.5% will be added to the buyer's premium which is invoiced on a VAT inclusive basis
