An important pre-hairspring verge pocketwatch with striking mechanism and crystal case

unsigned: Holy Roman Empire region, ca. 1620-1640
the gilt verge movement with chain fusee for the going train and engraved spring barrel for the striking train, turned baluster pillars, pierced cock with double eagle emblem secured by a pin, pierced cock to the steel countwheel with dragon emblem and pierced decorative foot, striking hours and half hours on a bell, gilt set-up ratchet with decorative blued steel spring, the silver dial with blue enamel Roman numerals and half-hour marks, green enamel quarter hour ring, single steel hand, a rose and leaf design to the centre field, in octagonal case with hinged glazed cover to the dial, pierced and chased top cover containing the bell, with five-piece hinge, turned pendant and finial, with octagonal and facetted crystal case.
