II and III very lightly and evenly browned.) 19th-century calf, double gilt border with small floral cornerpieces, spines elaborately gilt in compartments with contrasting lettering-pieces, marbled edges (spines lightly rubbed, lower cover of vol. III with light stain). Provenance: "Emma Kekenrick with R. L. L., kind regards & best wishes, Leawrie, 26th July 1857" (presentation inscription on endpaper). An attractive set.
