Title and 24 engraved plates trimmed and laid down on thick card leaves, mounted on guards throughout. (Plates lightly browned.) Finely-bound in contemporary straight-grained crimson morocco decorated and lettered in gilt, gilt edges (extremities rubbed, a few scuffs). Gumuchian (entry 3413) lists a work by Jacques Stella, the engraver's uncle, with the variant title Les Jeux et Plaisirs de l' Enfance published in Paris in 1657 and calling for 51 plates depicting "Scènes à jeux enfantins charmants de diversité et de fantasie."
