A George III mahogany longcase clock, early 19th century
The arched hood with brass finials and glazed side panels, with arched trunk door, the panelled plinth with wavy apron, the white painted Roman dial with subsidiary second ring to the centre, rubbed signature to the arch, later hands, pinned directly to the eight day four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement and strike on bell -- 89in. (225cm.) high
