A Regency rosewood and brass-mounted striking table clock, circa 1820
The chamfer top case with pineapple finial and ripple mouldings, cornucopia ring handles to the sides above fish scale sound frets, on ball feet, the white painted Roman dial (retouched) with strike/not strike lever above XII, signed WILLIAM HISLOP/ISLINGTON ROAD/LONDON, blued steel moon and cross hands, the eight day twin wire fusee movement with shouldered plates, anchor escapement and strike on bell, with holdfast for the pendulum with calibrated rod -- 19½in. (49.5cm.) high
