A Regency ebonised and brass-mounted striking table clock, circa 1810
With handle to triple pad top, fishscale sound frets to the sides, on bracket feet, brass mounts to the front (part lacking), the white painted Roman dial (retouched) with pierced brass hands, the eight day twin wire fusee movement with anchor escapement and strike on bell, with engraving to the back plate borders and movement securing brackets, the back plate signed John Milward/London, with holdfast for the calibrated pendulum -- 16¾in. (42.5cm.) high to hilt of handle
