The stepped flat top hood with dentil mouldings, outset reeded columns, with reeded chamfered angles to the trunk and to the stepped plinth, the 10in. square brass dial with cherub and coronet spandrels to Roman and Arabic chapter ring signed Eccles & Son Liverpool, foliate scroll engraved centre with subsidiary seconds ring, the eight day four pillar movement with anchor escapement and rack strike on gong -- 73in. (185.5cm.) high
