An unusual Regency mahogany and ebony-inlaid striking bracket clock on bracket, circa 1820
The drum case with crenellated top and raised on baluster feet above a similarly crenellated wall bracket, white repainted Roman dial signed S. Phillips/EAST SMITHFIELD/LONDON, later blued steel hands, the eight day five pillar twin wire fusee movement with anchor escapement with hour strike and quarter chimes on two bells with two hammers, shouldered back plate with engraved borders, matching engraving to the securing brackets -- 25in. (63.5cm.) high over bracket
