With brass handle to inverted bell top, breakarch glazed side panels, on stepped and moulded base, the brass dial with mask and foliate spandrels to silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring, matted centre with mock pendulum and date apertures, signed on a silvered plaque Benj. Gray/London, blued steel later hands, strike/not strike lever by 15, with subsidiary regulation ring to the arch above, the eight day five pillar twin gut fusee movement with verge escapement with lenticular bob pendulum and strike on bell, with repeat signature and holdfast to the back plate engraved with foliate scrolls, the movement securing brackets with chevron engraved borders -- 18in. (45.5cm.) high to hilt of handle
