An Edwardian quarter-chiming longcase clock, early 20th century
The drumhead case with leaf-carved bezel, scroll side mouldings above panelled trunk door, with gadrooning above the panelled plinth, the 13in. diameter silvered and engraved Arabic chapter ring decorated with swags to the centre, chime/silent lever at 3, with blued steel hands (detached minute), signed Maple/London, the eight day movement with deadbeat escapement, maintaining power, hour strike on one tubular bell and quarter chimes on four more -- 81in. (206cm.) high
