Mark probably of Claude-René Menessier, Paris, first half 19th Century
The plain circular body with two attached foliate handles, plain detachable cover with acanthus rim, a mid shaped circular foliate plaquette with conforming handle, body and cover each engraved with a crowned double coat-of-arms, marked on base, body and inside cover
