A set of four Chinese blue and white plates
with foliate rims, each painted with a lady in a skiff beside a mosque within castellated walls, all within borders of interlacing flowers and foliage -- 9in. (23cm.) diam, Qianlong, (two cracked.)
The buildings on these plates are reminiscent of the mosques on the Coromandel coast of India.
