Lot Essay

George Fitzclarence, Earl of Munster (1794-1842), was the eldest son of William IV, while Duke of Clarence, and Mrs. Jordan, the actress. The eldest daughter, Sophia Fitzclarence (1796-1837) married Philip Sidney, Lord de L'Isle & Dudley in 1825.
