Two German Silver Candlesticks
One with indistinct maker's mark, Hamburg, circa 1780; the other with maker's mark SZ only, one nozzle London, 1872
each shaped three corner base of openwork lattice form, heightened with foliate scroll, rocaille and cartouche motifs, the cartouches engraved Anno 1779 on one and Anno 1782 on the other, supporting the baluster leaf and flower decorated stems, the sconces with detachable nozzles - 23cm. (9in.) high, 21oz.
