with felt body and face with centre-seam, boot button eyes, painted hair and features with red stitch smiling mouth, pointed up-turned nose, swivel head, jointed limbs with large hands and bendable knee, dressed in blue jacket with red trim and brass buttons, black trousers, large oil-cloth boots with leather soles and forty-two Steiff FF button studs, utillity belt with sword, gunpowder flask and ammunition, brown burlap box pack, leather picklehelber, rifle and button in ear --19½in. (49.5cm.) high, circa 1910 (a few moth holes under chin strap, rifle missing strap and helmet missing badge)
