A Strunz teddy bear
with blonde mohair, black boot button eyes, pronounced clipped muzzle, black stitched nose, mouth and claws, swivel head, jointed elongated limbs with felt pads, hump and original knitted red jumper and trousers --14in. (35.5cm.) high, circa 1909 (a few small bald spots, some holes and patching to pads and slight general wear)

Lot Essay
This bear although very similar to Steiff's range of dressed teddy bears from 1908, has subtle differences. Strunz advertisements of this period feature mostly direct copies of Steiff products.
