A collection of autographs comprising: 22 publicity photographs, majority 1940s, some secretarial, subjects include: Joan Crawford (2), Rita Hayworth (on a black and white snap-shot), Joan Bennet, Ida Lupino (2), Olivia de Havilland, Claudette Colbert, Jeanette MacDonald, Susan Hayward, Dolores Del Rio, Dorothy Lamour; an autograph letter, signed, undated, from Norma Shearer on her personalised stationery to MGM studio manager Eddie Mannix, thanking him for remembering her birthday and ....such beautiful roses! they have burst from the sweetest buds into radiant bloom and refuse to die... 2pp.; and a white cotton handkerchief embroidered with the initial A surrounded by a floral motif, accompanied by an autograph note, signed, 10th March, 1983, from Ann Sothern on her personalised stationery confirming that the handkerchief is hers and that it was donated to the Brooklyn United Methodist Church for a fundraising auction (a lot)
