Steve McQueen was first introduced to his long-term manager at William Morris Agency, Hilly Elkins, by his then wife, Neile Adams, in 1957. After a disagreement with Elkins, he signed this new contract with William Morris Agency in January, 1962. From that point, it was agent, Stan Kamen who looked after McQueen's affairs - it was Kamen who had landed McQueen the role of Bill Ringa in Never So Few, opposite Frank Sinatra in 1959, after Sammy Davis Jnr. had been dropped from the role.
