Lot Essay

In an interview in 1998 for Secret Intelligence magazine, Peter Hunt recalled the editing challenges posed by the underwater sequences in Thunderball. The director, Terence Young, was apparently disgruntled with the pace of these sequences and relied heavily on Hunt's editing skills to improve the pace. According to Hunt, Young never liked Thunderball and apparently gave Hunt a free reign in directing the film.
