8o (144 x 100 mm). Aldine's woodcut anchor device on title, 7 woodcut illustrations in text (early ink notations on title and some other pages). Late 18th-century straight grained red morocco, double fillet surrounding a floral border and a gilt single fillet, gilt Aldine device stamped on center of both covers, spine in four compartments, gilt lettered in two (light rubbing to spine ends and edges). Provenance: Sir John Hayford Thorold, Syston Park (armorial and monogrammed bookplates, binding).
