A TLINGIT POLYCHROME WOOD FRONTLET
of rectangular form, carved in high relief, with red, black and green pigments, depicting a raven with long beak and pointed oval eyes, inset with circular abalone shell disks, beneath conjoined arching brows and a frame of rectangular abalone shell plaques, its claws grasping the brows of an unidentified creature, possibly the sea monster Gonakadet, with wide set pointed oval eyes, inset with abalone shell, a circular area, possibly once inset with a copper disk (now missing) between them, a raised panel below, enclosing three maskettes, each inset with circular abalone shell disks
