An original commercial American Dooling all-aluminium Mercury Deluxe racer, (c. 1939),
with painted wood driver's seat incorporating "on/off" switch, the single cylinder Dennymite spark ignition engine with correct period clear tank, coil and clutch to shaft drive to the rear wheels encased with a sheet-metal belly pan, the differential casing with cover embossed Dooling Bros. Mercury, Los Angeles, the chassis frame with radius links to front and rear axles with coil suspension, the tyres embossed Dooling Bros. Los Angeles Cal. -- 18in. (45.7cm.) long (some restoration)
