A Dooling Second Series Front Drive Mercury racer, (c. 1940),
with one-piece cast aluminium body, upholstered driver's seat (lower belly-pan missing), fitted with a Super Cyclone spark ignition aero-engine, the drive shaft incorporating a brass flywheel and driving through the front axle, the casing embossed Dooling Bros. Mercury, Los Angeles, both front and rear axles with track-guide ball races, the tail mounted with a finish-line "on/off" switch and lever, the tyres embossed Dooling Bros Los Angeles Cal. -- 19in. (48.2cm.) long (part restored, some new parts)
