the first a bright-cut shaped oval example with blue glass liner, reeded scroll handle and domed hinged cover with vase-shaped finial and plain rounded thumb piece, James & Elizabeth Bland, London 1795; the second a reeded moulded oval example with blue glass liner and bracket handle, the slightly-domed hinged cover engraved with a crest and with rounded thumb piece, possibly Soloman Hougham, London 1804.
