A pair of "clatterers'" boots and shoes of black leather
the boots with shaped top edge with gilt braid and tassel, fitted with two bells, the 1in. heel with brass cap and "clatter" disc stamped Rayne, the sole fitted with a wooden form, inscribed on leather lining of top leg "Mr. Melrose", the lace-up shoes with the same fittings on the sole and heel; and another pair of small ladies' tango lace up boots of light brown suede with petal-shaped cut-outs, and 1in. heel, the waist of each boot and shoe stamped Rayne, circa 1915
