The present watercolour is listed in Gabriele Münter's Merkheft of 1955, where it features with an adjacent visual note, a Merkskizze. According to this diary, the watercolour was executed on the morning of Thursday, 8 December 1955. Münter's abreviation 'LB' stands for Landschaftsbild.
