This work is executed on the front fly-leaf of Jules Romain, Pierres levées. Poèmes, Paris, Flammarion, 1948.
The book also includes on the frontispiece an original lithography by Henri Matisse, signed in pencil at the lower right and 7 letters from Henri Matisse to Henri Flammarion (6 authograph and 1 typed), written between 5 May 1943 and 31 April 1948.
The book, including the present drawing, the lithograph and the 7 letters, is sold with a photo-certificate from Wanda de Guébriant.
