Both sugar-bowl and cover moulded and painted in iron-red green and blue, the cover and shoulder with a leafy vine, the body with four figures of Hercules beneath arches; together with a later-decorated yellow-ground tankard painted with a butterfly above the word ALE enclosed within a feathered scroll cartouche
