etching, circa 1870, on cream laid paper, the first state (of four) before the addition of the inscriptions, from the edition of approximately 120, with margins, pale time staining, occasional minor surface soiling and a few soft handling creases in the margins, the palest occasional foxmark in the margins, a small spot of stray printing ink on the reverse, otherwise in very good condition
