A model of a Nantucket Whaleboat
Anonymous (American, 20th century)
A white painted hull with red and black detailing just below the sheer line. The interior of the model is painted pink and is detailed with floorboards, thwarts, center board trunk, mast step and partners. Other details include: oars, hapoons, buckets, coils of line, and other miscellaneous details, rigged with a simple mast and linen sails mounted in a mahogony and glass case with inlaid decorative border.
