THE COALPORT EXAMPLE CIRCA 1890, PRINTED GREEN MARKS; THE TWO ENGLISH PORCELAIN EXAMPLES, CIRCA 1830
The first of quatrefoil form printed in blue and gilt with birds in flight amongst leaves, with a richly-gilt interior and handle; the second painted with a loose spray of garden flowers in pink, puce and iron-red among scattered foliage, reserved against a pale-blue ground, the border moulded and pierced with gilt trailing fruiting vines, the handle formed from two gilt-entwined branches in yellow, within gilt rims; the third basket painted with loose bouquets of roses, convolvulous and other flowers and foliage within gilt shaped cartouches, interspered with yellow-ground cartouches decorated with dot-pattern reserved against a dark-blue ground gilt with scattered palmettes and foliate sprigs, the handle formed from two gilt- entwined branches (very minor rubbing to gilding generally)
