Silenus typically modelled slumped on an ass, wearing a garland of vines in his hair and with a yellow drape gilt with stars worn loosely around his waist, supported by an attendant wearing a garland and a pink drape, a maiden at his feet beside a basket of vines, a putto grasping the ass's tail, on a shaped oval scroll-moulded mound base
