based on an Ancient Greek urn, printed in black and orange with THE INFANT BACCHUS DELIVERED INTO THE HANDS OF MERCURY and to the reverse THE MARRIAGE OF BACCHUS TO ARIADNE between stylised foliate borders, printed marks to base -- 10½in. (26.7cm.) high, 19th century (firing cracks and slight wear)
