Each with black simulated leather-lined step flanked by scrolled handles, the top step hinged and concealing a compartment, the middle hinged step with brass handle concealing a commode, on ceramic castors, the underside of the flap inscribed 'T. Crank, T. Cotterel, T. Walse', lacking pot
