The stepped cresting with ebonised segmental panel mounted with a figure of Learning and Cupid, enclosing a drawer, the frieze drawer above a hinged fall-front enclosing an elaborately fitted architectural interior with a green-leather lined writing-slide, the pigeon-holes, drawers and secret drawers forming an architectural façade with Gothic motifs and turned bone columns flanked by penwork depicting chivalrous knights, above three drawers and an ebonised plinth, on tapering feet
