The front cover of this collection of reviews reproduces the famous woodcut poster design by Frederick Walker, 'which can almost be said to mark the birth of modern English poster art' (Kenneth Robinson Wilkie Collins, 1951, p. 252). The back cover shows George Vining as Count Fosco. The words 'presentation copy' on the title seem to indicate that copies were complimentary, and to be given away for the sake of publicity rather than paid for. RARE. Parrish p. 158.
