A late and substantially revised version of an evocation of the renewal of life in spring, originally written in 1833, opening 'Once more the Heavenly Power Makes all things new And domes the red-plowed hills With loving blue ...'.

Hallam Tennyson informs his correspondents that his father has copied this 'new' poem for their 'Youth's Companion' (the Boston periodical in which it was first published on 13 December 1883). Both the earlier and the present version of the poem are given in The Works, ed. C. Ricketts (1987, vols I, 537, and III, 103-105). (2)
