Numbers I-VI (all published), 4° (220 x 172mm). 26 plates (6 after Jack Butler Yeats). Original variously coloured thick paper wrappers, upper covers with a blocked design of the Storyteller (or Shanachie), with interspersed letterpress text in a second colour, yapp edges (occasional small tears to edges), all within a single green morocco-backed slipcase (extremities slightly scuffed).
A VERY FINE SET. The literary contributions include three by W.B. Yeats (including the first appearance of 'Against Witchcraft' and 'The Praise of Deirdre' [Wade p.369]), six by Padraic Colum, five by J.M. Synge, two by Lord Dunsany, and one each by Lady Gregory and George Bernard Shaw ('The Miraculous Revenge' [see Laurence C94 note]). (6)
