The case with ripple mouldings, brass handle with lion mask clasps to top with glazed viewing panel, solid sides and rear door (lock detached), foliate scroll engraved mask to white enamel Roman chapter disc with blued steel moon hands, the eight day twin barrel movement with brass platform and engraved cock to plain steel balance with lever escapement, countwheel strike on bell back plate numbered 12; dial and movement possibly associated to case -- 7½in. (19cm.) high to hilt of handle
