With brass acorn finial, the white painted iron Roman dial with steel arrow hands, the trunk with typical detachable panel, with spiral-moulded frame to gilt-heighted glass panel (crack), the hinged door below with panel depicting a United States and a British warship, inscribed on banners LAKE ERIE/PERRY VICTORIOUS/SEPT 10 1813, the eight day weight-driven movement with anchor escapement, with brass plates joined by four front-pinned spillars, now secured to back board with two later screws -- 34¼in. (87cm.) high
