The chamfer top case with ripple mouldings, glazed side panels and fretted rear door, with ormolu bezel to silvered Roman dial signed Payne 163 New Bond Street, blued steel heart-shaped hands, strike/silent lever above XII, the eight day movement with arched plates and five pillars, twin wire fusees with anchor escapement, strike and trip repeat on bell, with pendulum holdfast to back plate with repeat signature; with a matching later associated wall bracket -- 19½in. (49.5cm.) high overall (2)
