A FINE AND LARGE NAPOLEON III ORMOLU AND SEVRES-STYLE GREEN-GROUND PORCELAIN-MOUNTED DOUBLE-SIDED ROTARY MANTEL CLOCK

The domed top decorated with floral festoons and surmounted by a lyre-plucking putto, above rotating hour and minute bands, the hour band inscribed LEVY FRÈRES PARIS, surrounded by four oval medallions, each painted with a court beauty, supported on four pairs of Corinthian columns, enclosing a cylinder painted with several cloudborne putti, flanked on each side by a flambeau and flower-chain-bearing putto, the shaped rectangular base inset with a curved plaque to front and reverse, one painted with a beauty, the other with a still life of fruit, flanked to each side with a roundel painted with putti emblematic of the Four Seasons, and to the ends with a roundel decorated with flowers, on foliate-cast feet
