The cup painted with a central panel of a peasant maid and her children in their rustic home, within a richly-gilt tooled frame, reserved on a turquoise ground enriched with a continuous band of flowering branches and circular richly-gilt cartouches of flowers, with a gilt-scroll leaf-moulded handle, the saucer with a gilt scale-pattern well below a border of similar flowers, the box moulded in high-relief and painted in polychrome with mythological scenes, with borders of gilt scrolls and palemettes, mounted in gilt-metal with a clasp to the front
