Decorated on the interior rim with an incised band depicting the Eight Auspicious Symbols interspersed with a Tibetan mantra and donor inscription, the center of the bowl bearing the inscription Ohm Dza Ah Ram Hum

The interior inscription has been translated as: This vessel of natural medicinal copper, because of the inseparable unity of wisdom and skillful means, was commissioned by the family of Rinchen Gyaltsen, both uncle and nephew, in order to support the life of Lhamo Paldzom; by this virtue may all beings attain enlightenment.
